Shawn and Danielle MacCallum started farming on the ridge of Del Bonita, Alberta in 2011. The farm is both a grain and livestock operation, with native pasture for the cattle to graze and agronomically sound practices being used.

Corn Grazing

After grazing corn for the last couple months, the cows are about finished and are getting ready to be moved to the yard for calving. We have seen good results when it comes to the amount of plant material that the cows have ingested and, interestingly, different corn varieties seem to be more palatable than others.
